Legacy GreenBuilders is 100% committed to building ENERGY STAR Certified Homes. ENERGY STAR is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) voluntary program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate through superior energy efficiency.

INDOOR AIR PLUS

The EPA created Indoor airPLUS to help builders meet the growing consumer preference for homes with improved indoor air quality. Indoor airPLUS builds on the foundation of EPA’s ENERGY STAR requirements for new homes and provides additional construction specifications to provide comprehensive indoor air quality protections in new homes. (Optional program per customer.)

ADVANCED LIGHTING

An ENERGY STAR Advanced Lighting Package designation identifies homes equipped with a comprehensive set of ENERGY STAR qualified light fixtures. With an Advanced Lighting Package installed, homebuyers can expect to save energy and money through reduced lighting operating costs — while sacrificing nothing for aesthetics!. (Optional program per customer.)

WATER SENSE

A partnership program by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, seeks to protect the future of our nation’s water supply by offering people a simple way to use less water with water-efficient products, new homes, and services. (Optional program per customer.)

RESNET

The Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) was founded in 1995 as an independent, non-profit organization to help homeowners reduce the cost of their utility bills by making their homes more energy efficient.

C-WISE

CWISE is the architecture firm that we turn to for guidance on fine tuning the energy efficiency and environmentally responsible qualities of our designs. Led by Martha Norbeck, C-Wise is committed to educate and create built environments in a manner that deepens our respect for the natural world.

NAHB

Legacy GreenBuilders is a member of the National Association of Home Builders. NAHB is a Washington, D.C.-based trade association whose broad mission is to enhance the climate for housing, homeownership and the residential building industry and is one of the few NAHB Certified Green Professionals in the country.

NAR GREEN

The Green Designation from the National Association of Realtors gives home buyers the assurance that their Realtor is fully educated in all aspects affecting green materials, ratings and practices for real estate. Our Principal, Chris Mottinger, holds this esteemed designation as another sign of our commitment to construction today that you can be proud of tomorrow.

ECOBROKER

EcoBroker® Certified. Chris Mottinger, Principal of Legacy GreenBuilders, is a certified EcoBroker, the premier green designation for real estate professionals. This certification allows us to understand exactly what real estate brokers look for when representing buyers and sellers, so you know that your GreenBuilders home will be well received on the market should you ever decide to sell.

USBC

Legacy GreenBuilders is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. In the future Legacy will participate in the LEED® green building program, a voluntary, consensus-based global rating system for buildings, homes and communities that are designed, constructed, maintained and operated for improved environmental and human health performance.
